Looks for Less: Fashion Month S/S 2014

Hi there! Fashion Month just wrapped up and I wanted to give you guys something in addition to a standard highlights post and this is what I came up with!

Sometimes, well, a lot of the time, it seems as if the people attending the shows are always trying their hardest to rival each other's outfits, as if it's a competition of who can sport the wildest, most attention-grabbing outfit. Often times, they even rival the clothes on the runway!

The people who are privileged enough to go to these shows have a pretty decked out wardrobe - a wardrobe not all of us can afford. Here are three of the outfits I recreated from the street style this season.

This look is so effortlessly cool, you just can't help but be drawn to this girl's laidback awesomeness. Am I right? The sheer panels in the sweater balance the edgy feel of the skirt. To finish off the cool girl look, I added reflective sunglasses, gladiator sandals, and a comic book clutch.

FM SS 2014 #3

1. Aeropostale Sheer Panel Sweater
2. Urban Outfitters Reflective Sunglasses
3. ASOS Clutch Bag
4. Topshop Pencil Skirt
5. New Look Gladiator Buckle Sandal

The modern bohemian feel of this outfit is simple spectacular and a perfect way to incorporate that airy music festival feel into an autumn outfit. I paired the lace top and printed trousers with some chunky booties, and a gorgeous mustard yellow bag.

FM SS 2014 #1

1. Urban Outfitters Round Sunglasses
2. Chicwish Delicate Crochet Top
3. Aerie Tank Top
4. Forever 21 Tiger Trousers
6. ModCloth Buckled Booties

To me, this look is a feminine take on a punk-inspired one. To complement the tartan dress, I added some chained boots, a black leather pouch, a colourful bracelet, and a chunky statement ring. If it's colder where you are, add a leather jacket!

FM SS 2014 #2

1. ASOS Smock Dress
2. New Look Leaf Charm Bracelet
3. GoJane Chained Boots
4. ASOS Jewel Dragon Ring
5. H&M Shoulder Boots
